The Waiting Room is a four piece rock band from Johannesburg. The project began in February 2005, when Ryan ( vocalist / guitarist ) and Jason ( drummer ) got together to rehearse some of the original material Ryan had written over the last 3 years.

Realising the obvious need for a bass player, the short lived 2 piece went in search for musicians whose vision matched that of Ryan and Jason's. After using session bass guitarists, Mike ( ex-Amersham ) joined the band in September 2005 as a permanent solution. Ryan's brother Mark ( ex-Big Jump Joey ) has taken the role of lead guitarist thus generating a bigger sound.

The bands debut album will be released in early 2006. The single "Crazy For You" has been playlisted on Highveld Stereo, RSG, East Coast Radio, Bay FM and Jacaranda. The album is being produced by Raymond Green ( guitarist for Danny K ). The band is performing live as often as possible in venues around the country.

The Waiting Room has opened for The Spoonfeedas and Just Jinger, and have headlined in many venues. This 4 piece outfit is a pop / rock band, with original songs that have catchy melodies and well thought out hooks. The bands energetic live act is something worth waiting to see.
